Since his loss to Georges St. Pierre, BJ Penn doesn't get mentioned as often as he used to in talks over who is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the MMA world.
But that is a mistake, because despite the loss, Penn remains one of the most well-rounded, awe-inspiring fighters the sport has ever seen.
Simply put, the boxing and jiu-jitsu expert from Hilo, Hawaii doesn't lose at lightweight, regardless of the opponent.
He rarely is even challenged much in the lightweight division, but former Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Sanchez has trained his entire career with the goal of bringing his skills up to Penn's level and hopes of getting a title shot against “The Prodigy.”
The man known as “Nightmare” enters his dream fight against Penn as a healthy underdog, however, at +220 odds compared with -300 UFC betting odds for the favorite Penn.
